Comprehensive subject examinations serve to demonstrate knowledge and skills in a subject or a subject area to be defined in the curriculum. Comprehensive subject examinations are examinations that are conducted in a single examination procedure.
Examination Dates
Three examination dates are offered for each semester, so that six examination dates are available per year. The Dean of Studies determines examination weeks for each academic year in which the comprehensive subject examinations are held.
Registration
You must register yourself for the comprehensive subject examination via UNIGRAZonline during the registration period. Registration is only possible within the registration period specified for this purpose and in compliance with the registration requirements according to the curriculum. The registration period lasts at least two weeks and ends one week before the examination date.
Comprehensive Subject Exams
In the Master’s Program Business Administration, at least one Special Business Administration (SBWL) must be completed, depending on the choice. The conclusion of each SBWL is the comprehensive subject exam. Furthermore, Module D (Business Analytics and Business Informatics) can also be completed, which is also concluded with a comprehensive subject examination. The comprehensive subject examination is an oral examination. The comprehensive subject examination can only be taken if all courses of the respective SBWL or module D have been positively completed.
The examination material must be announced at least eight weeks before the examination and published on the website of the respective department.
In the Master’s Program Business Education and Development, a Special Business Administration (SBWL) or the Module Business Analytics and Business Informatics must be completed in Module G. For further information on the comprehensive subject examination, please refer to the explanations for the Master’s program Business Administration.
