Bachelor Economics

You're wondering...

  • Why does water cost nothing, but diamonds cost a lot?
  • Why do movie stars earn more than doctors?
  • Why is London-Linz-London more expensive than Linz-London-Linz?
  • Why are there poor people in rich countries?
  • What does a fair tax system look like?

Economic questions like these often hide behind everyday matters and affect one's own life as well as social relations in Austria and internationally. With the basic knowledge from the Bachelor's programme in Economics you can critically question these topics and find an answer to them.

In addition to the core areas of economics, individual focuses can also be set during your studies. On the one hand, students can specialise in a subfield of economics and on the other hand, students can attend free optional subjects that are not bound by any regulations. Detailed information can be found under Study Plans.
